What does “Non-GMO” mean?

“Non-GMO” means non-genetically modified organisms. GMOs (genetically modified organisms), are novel organisms created in a laboratory using genetic modification/engineering techniques. Scientists and consumer and environmental groups have cited many health and environmental risks with foods containing GMOs. As a result of the risks, many people in the United States and around the world are demanding “non-GMO” foods.

Customer value is our final aim. We believe that GMOs are not natural, and then we’ll need to ban the GMO crops from the beginning to protect from human consumption and animal feed, which could ensure our ingredients are totally non-GMO.

Our assurance department is specializing at the process of ingredient to meet the quality standards, which involves a combination of documentation and testing.

For our plantbased ingredients, supplier confirmation and testing report are provided to assure the Non-GMO status of these ingredients. This is an immediate step while we work with our vendors to establish Non-GMO trials for every ingredient. This is a must step for complex dietary supplements and even personal care products containing highly purified ingredients. We also work with the Non-GMO agent for verifying our products.

Our current Non-GMO product status

• Protein powder–soy and corn related ingredients that are highly proceed with Non-GMO documentation and they can be tested as GMO-free.
• Animal derived ingredients-it is hard for us to test wheather the feed that the animals eat is Non-GMO or not.
• Probiotics-These organisms are totally non-GMO, but some may be produced with the nutritional ingredients derived from corn and soy, which is hard to verify if they are non-GMO. Then we need to ensure that our supplier could make changes to growth media used for these probiotics can be non-GMO in the near future.
